Drivers who sign up mid-season will not have a guaranteed seat in one of the league tiers. Once a main or reserve seat becomes available in the tier closest to your pace/speed, you will be contacted by one of the coordinators. General Information:

Hello everyone and welcome to our 5th league season on GT7, this season we will be using the Daihatsu Copen RJ VGT - its a small nimble but fun 146BHP, 600kg FF race car, it should provide the opportunity for plenty of close racing for drivers at some of the smaller length circuits in GT7, that is why this season is officially called the 'Kei Touring Car Championship'!

For this season there will be 5 Rounds, however we've decided to take some inspiration from a real Touring Car series for this season (BTCC), and as a result we are once again doing something completely new & different from past competitions.

The basic key info:
There are two big changes one is the format on race night, as each round this season will see a first ever 3 races on the night, but the three races themselves will be shorter then normal compared to all previous competitions here, as each race will be just a 15 minute time limit race, however to determine starting positions for each race there will be just one short qualifying session and reverse grids used.

The other is a mandatory race tyre compound allocation (soft, medium & hard), its pretty simple - basically all drivers will have to choose one tyre compound to use each race, if for example a driver uses soft tyres for the first race then you can't use them again for race 2 or 3, for the next race in those circumstances the driver must use either medium or hard for race 2, if they use medium for race 2 then they are left with hards and must use them for race 3.

Just to be clear though, drivers are free to use there tyre allocation in whatever order they wish to for each round.

Meanwhile the list below is for general info: 

  • League structure: Like before there will only be 1 Tier, in the event there is over 16 sign ups then priority will be given to drivers who have regularly raced before in previous league events here. (*note - driver priority status will only last until the 16th of June)
  • Regions: The main region that our league is based in is Europe, drivers from around the world are allowed to take part in the league as long as their connection is suitable & stable enough. 
  • Round format: Each round will have three 15 minute time limit races on the night, but will see only one qualifying session.

           Race 1 will see reverse championship order decide the starting grid. (with the exception of round 1)

           Race 2 will have a short qualifying session (after race 1) to determine the starting grid for race 2.

           Race 3 will then use a reverse Race 2 result for the grid, but will use a rolling start instead of a grid start. 

  • Assists: ABS allowed, all other assists prohibited.
  • Day/time: This league will take place on Thursday nights with the 1st race starting around 8pm (UK time).
